Panchkula BJP yuva morcha leader alleges – Narinder Pal Singh Lubana, the district president of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s youth wing in Panchkula and a former municipal councillor, has demanded police security and an arms licence. He claims that his life is in danger due to threats from members of the Godara gang.

Days after his younger brother, Rattan Chand Lubana, was shot twice during a confrontation at the Swiss Lounge in Sector 5, Lubana escalated his concerns. The police investigation indicated that the attack was likely planned by gangster Rohit Godara and his accomplices.

Two individuals accused of firing at Lubana’s brother—Jaspreet Singh, 34, and Harpreet Singh, 18—were arrested during an encounter in Panchkula on the same night. Shakeel Ansari, another gang member, emerged as a key figure in the case after being detained in Rajasthan. Authorities suspect he coordinated the attack by supplying weapons to the shooters.

Complaint Submitted to DCP

Lubana filed a complaint with Deputy Commissioner of Police Srishti Gupta, expressing fears for his family’s safety. In the document, he requested immediate security measures, including an arms licence under the Arms Act.

“After the shooting, my family and I have faced persistent threats from gangsters. Rohit Godara specifically warned me of severe repercussions. These calls have instilled significant fear and made us wary of our own safety,” Lubana stated in the complaint.

The leader emphasized the need for the police to investigate the incident thoroughly, assess potential threats, and provide security to protect his household. He also urged authorities to expedite the arms licence process to ensure his ability to defend himself and his family in emergencies.

DCP Srishti Gupta confirmed that security arrangements have been made for Lubana’s family, citing the perceived risk. The police are currently conducting a comprehensive threat evaluation as part of the ongoing probe.
