Arvind Kejriwal set to march to PM’s residence against E20 petrol on August 4

Kejriwal to Lead Protest Against E20 Fuel at PM’s House
Bharatmorningnews.com – Aam Aadmi Party’s national convener has declared plans to organize a demonstration at the Prime Minister’s official residence. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, when Kejriwal intends to present an online petition containing signatures from more than 200,000 citizens who oppose the introduction of E20 petrol across the nation.
Townhall Announcement
The former Delhi chief minister revealed these details during the “National Townhall Against E20” gathering held on Saturday. He emphasized that the petition, directed toward the Prime Minister, has already accumulated over two lakh signatures from concerned citizens. Kejriwal committed to personally carrying printed versions of the petition to the PM’s residence.
“A few days ago, I asked the people of the country to sign a petition addressed to the Prime Minister. So far, more than two lakh people have signed it online… At 12 noon on August 4, I will personally go to the PM’s residence to hand them over. I will take only 100 people with me who are not afraid of police lathis or going to jail.”
According to Kejriwal, the government should engage in meaningful dialogue if they genuinely believe E20 fuel is safe for vehicles. He suggested that both sides could present their respective evidence during such discussions.
BJP Response
Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra quickly responded to Kejriwal’s claims. The party leader challenged the opposition leader to provide concrete proof of vehicle damage. Malhotra stated that Kejriwal should present at least 100 vehicles that have experienced actual engine failures or damage specifically attributed to E20 fuel usage.
The protest march will feature a select group of 100 participants who have demonstrated willingness to face potential arrest or police action during the demonstration.
