Akshay Kumar: Bhojpuri is better than Hollywood
Akshay Kumar – At the recent unveiling of a new track from the upcoming comedy film *Welcome To The Jungle*, Akshay Kumar joined the production team for a lively event that showcased humor and open dialogue. The gathering drew significant attention on social media due to a few standout comments from the actor.
Regional Music Takes Center Stage
During the session, Kumar drew a bold distinction between Bhojpuri music and Hollywood productions. He highlighted the depth of regional cultures, stating,
“Bhojpuri is better than Hollywood. I have given this line because they can’t hear this song. They will not understand anything. They have never seen a song like this.”
Kumar emphasized the pride associated with India’s diverse musical traditions, noting that Bhojpuri songs encapsulate a unique cultural essence. “Our songs are made in so much culture,” he remarked. “We should be proud of the kind of culture we have and the variety that exists in our country.”
A Larger Ensemble Than Expected
The conversation took an unexpected turn when Kumar addressed the film’s expansive cast. With his signature wit, he contrasted the streamlined approach of *3 Idiots*, which relied on three central characters, with *Welcome To The Jungle*’s roster of over 30 actors. “The possibilities are endless,” he joked, underscoring the film’s ambitious scale.
Meanwhile, veteran actor Paresh Rawal tackled the lingering question about the future of the *Hera Pheri* series. Though he didn’t confirm participation in the third installment, he suggested the franchise remains viable. “As long as we are around, Hera Pheri will continue,” he noted, signaling that recent doubts may have been resolved.
