UP to be governed by Ram Rajya, not Babur’s Rule: Yogi Adityanath Asserts

Ram Rajya not Babur s rule – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared on Monday that his administration would usher in an era of Ram Rajya, rejecting the notion of Babur’s rule continuing to influence the state. He criticized the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) for fostering divisive politics, contrasting their approach with the BJP’s focus on inclusive development for the state’s 25 crore population.

Opposition’s Divide-and-Conquer Strategy

“The opposition’s approach, he claimed, mirrors the Babri mindset, prioritizing caste, regional, and linguistic divisions,” Yogi said. He added that citizens have grown weary of political deception, noting that the SP’s momentum has diminished, with its “bicycle has been punctured” metaphor highlighting its waning relevance.

During a public event in Moradabad, Yogi unveiled 63 development projects totaling ₹365.50 crore, including the inauguration of 26 initiatives worth ₹136.15 crore and the laying of foundation stones for 37 new projects valued at ₹229.35 crore. Among the key launches were a war memorial, Shri Ram Vatika, and a sports park.

Legacy of Development and Stability

“The law and order situation before 2017 was deplorable,” he stated. “Now, traders operate in safety, women feel secure, and the state has become an investment hub for growth and governance.” Yogi also emphasized that the BJP’s vision centers on citizens’ welfare, unlike past governments that focused on appeasement, leading to unrest and frequent curfews.

The CM highlighted the SP’s history of misusing public funds, accusing them of inflating project costs through corruption. “A ₹100 crore project would have a report costing ₹500 crore under their regime,” he remarked, underscoring the inefficiency of their governance.

Legacy of Philanthropy and Patriotism

“Bhamashah’s sacrifice remains a timeless symbol of patriotism,” Yogi said, praising the legendary philanthropist for dedicating his wealth to Maharana Pratap’s struggle. He also vowed to rename the Linepar area as Daudayal Khanna Nagar, honoring a key figure in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement.

Yogi further challenged the opposition to address the significance of Ayodhya’s transformation into a global spiritual and developmental hub. He hinted at future efforts to promote cultural heritage, stating that the BJP prioritizes temple beautification and freedom fighter memorials over previous spending on cemetery walls.
