Ashutosh Brahmachari Files Fake Case Against Avimukteshwaranand Under Pressure

Filed fake case against Avimukteshwaranand under – Ashutosh Brahmachari has revealed that he was compelled to file a fabricated case against Jyotirmath Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati under intense pressure from Ramchandra Das, the Deva Ashram mahant in Mathura. The case, initially centered on allegations of sexual harassment, was later retracted by Brahmachari, who claims that Das manipulated him to serve his own interests in seizing control of the Deva Ashram, a key property of the Trust of Dev Baba, a revered spiritual figure.

The Origins of the Allegations

According to Brahmachari, the fabricated case against Avimukteshwaranand was orchestrated as part of a broader conspiracy to undermine the Shankaracharya’s authority. In a recent social media video, he stated, “Das ruined me, I was harassed and pressured. Why did he use me to do this?” He further explained that WhatsApp chat records provided evidence of Das instructing him on how to file the suit against the spiritual leader, highlighting the coercion involved in the process.

Conspiracy and Control Over the Deva Ashram

Brahmachari’s claims extend beyond the sexual harassment allegations, suggesting a deeper motive behind the case. He asserts that Ramchandra Das, who succeeded Jagadguru Rambhadracharya as the Deva Ashram’s leader, was involved in fabricating a will to facilitate the takeover of the ashram. Additionally, Brahmachari alleges that Das conspired to eliminate his guru, citing the potential benefits of such an act for gaining dominance over the institution.

These accusations come amid a broader legal battle, as Brahmachari had previously reported Das to the Mathura senior superintendent of police for illegally possessing the ashram through forged documents. He warned that if the police fail to investigate, he would seek judicial intervention to ensure accountability. The case has sparked discussions about the integrity of religious institutions and the use of legal tools to advance personal agendas.

Legal Proceedings and Court Response

In February, a special judge directed the Prayagraj police to register an FIR under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (Pocso), as well as other relevant laws, to investigate the allegations against Avimukteshwaranand. However, the Allahabad High Court recently granted anticipatory bail to the Shankaracharya, citing inconsistencies in medical evidence and questioning the credibility of minors who allegedly confided in strangers rather than guardians.

The court also emphasized that the accusations emerged shortly after a heated dispute between Avimukteshwaranand and local authorities during the Magh Mela. This timing has raised eyebrows, with critics suggesting the case was filed to divert attention from Das’s alleged influence over the ashram’s governance. As of now, both Das and representatives of Avimukteshwaranand have not publicly addressed the claims, leaving the situation in legal limbo.

Despite the court’s decision, the case remains a focal point of controversy, particularly due to its potential implications for the Deva Ashram’s leadership and the Trust of Dev Baba. Supporters of Avimukteshwaranand argue that the case was exaggerated for political gain, while Brahmachari and his allies insist it was a deliberate attempt to undermine the spiritual leader’s position. The unfolding legal drama continues to draw public scrutiny and debate over the role of pressure in shaping such allegations.
