Gone Missing at Birth in Gorakhpur, 2-Yr-Old Reunited With Parents

Emotional Reunion After Two-Year Search

Gone missing at birth in Gkp 2 – Following a two-year search, a two-year-old boy who was allegedly abducted by his uncle shortly after birth has been reunited with his parents in Gorakhpur district, according to local police. The child, taken from his family during infancy, was finally found after investigators acted on a complaint filed by his father, Hirdesh Yadav.

The parents, who reside in Maharajganj district, had been seeking answers since the child vanished. The discovery came after police uncovered critical clues during their probe into the case. When the boy was returned to his parents at Pipiganj police station, his mother was overcome with emotion, breaking down in tears as she clung to her child for the first time in almost two years.

“The child has been recovered and reunited with his biological parents. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused, and further investigation is underway,” stated Superintendent of Police (North), Gyanendra Kumar.

Family’s Relentless Search Ends

Hirdesh Yadav, a 32-year-old local resident, recounted the events to authorities. His wife gave birth to the child at a private hospital two years ago, and while returning home, the newborn fell ill. At the time, his brother-in-law, Abhay Yadav, allegedly arrived at their residence and convinced the family to prioritize the mother’s care, taking the child with him.

Initially, the uncle claimed the child had been hospitalized for jaundice treatment. However, the family was unable to locate the child afterward, sparking their desperate search. Police now believe the uncle concealed the child from them since birth, with the motive for the disappearance still under scrutiny.
