Bhupinder Singh, who hails from Himachal Pradesh, and Gagandeep Kaur, a local resident of Ludhiana, are the individuals named in the case. The complaint was submitted by Gurpreet Singh, representing Basant Avenue in the Dugri area of the city.
Both accused personnel were working at the company’s retail outlets situated in Kochar Market. Their duties encompassed managing customer payments and keeping accurate sales documentation. According to the grievance, they systematically diverted cash received from shoppers, keeping the funds for themselves while logging the payments as credit card settlements.
To mask the misappropriation, the pair allegedly created counterfeit swipe receipts and altered daily transaction reports. This manipulation ensured that financial records appeared balanced despite the missing cash. The deception was uncovered when management conducted an internal audit and noticed mismatches between actual cash collections and documented sales figures.
A probe is underway to ascertain the exact amount involved and identify any other persons who may have played a role. We are examining bank records, transaction histories, sales data and other financial documents as part of the investigation.
