According to Gandhi, anyone endorsing delimitation in the present day would be considered a 21st-century Ettappan. This comparison highlighted the perceived betrayal of Tamil Nadu’s interests by those supporting the delimitation bill.

He stated that Indian students require an apology from the Prime Minister rather than forgiveness.
