Savannah Guthrie’s Heartfelt Appeal: ‘Please Make the Right Choice’ as Mother’s Disappearance Nears Six Months

Bharatmorningnews.com – Almost half a year has passed since Nancy Guthrie vanished without a trace, and her daughter Savannah has returned to social media with a deeply moving message directed at whoever took her mother. The Today show host shared a fresh video on Instagram, asking those responsible to finally come forward and reveal where Nancy can be found.

An Emotional Plea to the Unknown

Monday’s Instagram post carried the simple yet powerful caption “Bring her home” accompanied by a yellow heart symbol. In the video, Savannah spoke directly to the camera with visible emotion, expressing her family’s ongoing suffering.

“It has been months since our mom was taken from us,” Guthrie said. “Our family is in agony. We are in a nightmare that will not end. Nothing about our situation has changed. We have done our part, and we will never stop looking for her. We will always ache for her and feel that hole in our hearts.”

The host continued her appeal, acknowledging that whoever had her mother might have been trying to handle things properly. She urged them to make the right decision now.

“The world can be a cruel and unforgiving place, and I know that you have tried to do things the right way. So I’m asking you, begging you, to do the right thing now. Make the right choice. Help us find her. Tell us where to look for her. I truly believe it is never too late to do the right thing. Help us bring this situation to an end. For all of us, no matter where we’ve been and what we’ve done, I believe there is always a way home. Please make the right choice.”

The Investigation Continues

Nancy Guthrie, 84 years old, was reported missing from her Tucson residence on February 1. Law enforcement officials believe she was abducted from her home.

The FBI subsequently published images showing a potential suspect wearing a backpack and ski mask, captured on the security camera positioned at Nancy’s front door. Investigators also discovered blood drops on the porch area.

Additionally, DNA was recovered from a glove located approximately two miles from the Guthrie home. This glove initially appeared to match one worn by a person seen in surveillance footage during the night of the disappearance. However, further investigation revealed it belonged to a restaurant employee rather than the person who took Nancy.

Rewards and Ongoing Search

The Guthrie family has announced a $1 million reward for any information that leads to Nancy’s safe return. The FBI has contributed an additional $100,000 to that total for helpful tips.

Savannah has consistently used her public platform to keep attention on her mother’s case. In an earlier message, she emphasized that anyone with information could come forward anonymously.

“We’re begging for your help, and I’m not going to miss that opportunity. And so please if you’re watching, no matter how small, the reward is there. You can tell us, it can be anonymous. Please do the right thing for us, for our family, for our children. We love our mom, and we’ll never stop looking for her, ever.”

Additional Developments

Some observers have questioned whether Nancy’s daughter, Annie, might have been involved in the disappearance. An ex-FBI agent previously outlined five main reasons for this theory.

Complicating matters further, a woman was discovered dead under mysterious conditions in the vicinity of Nancy’s home, adding another layer to the ongoing investigation.

As the search continues, Savannah remains hopeful that someone will step forward and help bring her mother home.
