Understanding the Seven Chakras: A Journey Through Energy Centers

Bharatmorningnews.com – For countless centuries, yogic traditions have embraced the concept of seven chakras—vital energy centers within the human body. These points serve as markers for various phases of spiritual development and human experience. Though different yoga schools interpret them uniquely, they generally represent locations where vital energy circulates throughout our being.

During a recent Instagram Reel, Sadhguru illustrated how shifting energy through these centers transforms our life priorities and perspective. He described this progression as moving from fundamental survival needs toward elevated consciousness and inner contentment.

The Foundation: Mooladhara and Swadhisthana

When energy resides in the lowest center, known as Mooladhara, basic necessities dominate existence.

“If your energies are in the lowest chakra, which is referred to as the Mooladhara, food and sleep will be the most dominant factors of your life,” he explains.

At this foundational level, physical comfort and daily survival naturally become the primary focus.

As energy ascends to Swadhisthana, a transformation occurs in how we approach life.

“If your energy is moving to Swadhisthana, then you are a pleasure seeker,” Sadhguru notes.

This upward movement brings increased interest in experiences that provide joy and fulfillment.

The Doer and The Creative: Manipuraka and Anahata

The next stage reflects a shift toward action and achievement in the world.

“If your energy is moving to Manipuraka, then you are a doer in the world. You are an achiever,” Sadhguru states.

This phase embodies the drive to work diligently, embrace responsibility, and establish one’s presence globally.

Continuing the ascent, energy reaches Anahata, where creativity flourishes.

“If your energy is moving into Anahata, you are a creative person. You are more creative about life,” he observes.

Sadhguru clarifies that creativity extends beyond artistic expression—it encompasses how we think, respond, and engage with our surroundings.

Power and Vision: Vishuddhi and Aagna

When energy flows into Vishuddhi, individuals discover their inner strength.

“If energies move into your Vishuddhi, you are a powerhouse. Power need not just mean this. Human beings can be powerful in so many different ways,” Sadhguru elaborates.

True power manifests through wisdom, compassion, influence, and the capacity to inspire those around us.

Further elevation brings energy to Aagna, where clarity emerges.

“If energies move into your Aagna, then you have clarity of vision. Nothing can touch you, nothing can disturb you,” Sadhguru declares.

This stage cultivates an unshakable stability that remains unaffected by life’s fluctuations.

The Pathless Journey to Sahasrara

Sadhguru highlights that while numerous paths lead from Mooladhara to Aagna, the final transition differs fundamentally.

“From the lowest point of Mooladhara to Ajna, there are many ways of reaching there. But from Ajna to Sahasrara, there is no way. It’s a pathless path. When all methods are dropped, only then from Ajna to Sahasrara, one will reach,” he explains.

Upon reaching Sahasrara, the highest chakra, a profound transformation occurs.

“If your energies touch your Sahasrara, the topmost chakra, you will become ecstatic for no reason,” Sadhguru says.

Within yogic philosophy, this represents not happiness pursued through external accomplishments, but rather an inner joy that naturally arises from within.
