Meet Leisha Patidar viral FIFA reel - Leisha Patidar, a content creator based in Mumbai, has been creating digital content on social platforms since 2020. However, her FIFA 2026 series unexpectedly propelled her to new levels of popularity. Launched on June 9, the project saw her follower count surge by over 270,000 in just 15 days. The concept merged makeup transformations with the names of top international football players, paired with an appealing song, capturing widespread attention across social media.

“Honestly, I didn’t expect it to become this big. I thought people would enjoy it, but after the first few videos, I started seeing comments from football fans across different countries. That’s when I realized this wasn’t just reaching my usual audience anymore—it was reaching a global community. Seeing people wait for the next country and tag their friends made me realize the series had become something much bigger than I imagined,” she shared.

The 24-year-old, who currently has 1.1 million followers on Instagram, dedicates less than 12 hours to produce each reel. She explained, “It takes 6 to 10 hours depending on the look. From researching the team’s identity, designing the makeup, to shooting, editing, and ensuring every detail reflects the country accurately, it’s a lengthy process. But I truly enjoy every step of it.”

Despite India not participating in the FIFA tournament, followers began requesting a video featuring the Indian football team. Leisha noted, “That was probably one of the most requested videos throughout the series. My comments and DMs were full of people asking me to do India, and I always knew I wanted to. It felt like the perfect way to celebrate our own football community and highlight the passion of Indian fans.”

Leisha’s journey included a memorable experience of attending a live FIFA match in Miami on June 27, where she watched Portugal face Colombia. “I’ve been watching football since I was a kid. It’s the passion, the emotions, and the way it unites people from all over the world that I love. Getting to see Portugal play live and finally meeting Cristiano Ronaldo in person was honestly a dream come true. I can’t wait to see Messi live too,” she concluded.
