Kalam Khan had allegedly grown increasingly distrustful of his wife’s character, leading to frequent arguments. Investigators noted that the couple’s relationship had deteriorated significantly over the past several months. The disputes, initially verbal, reportedly escalated into physical confrontations, with Kalam accused of using both hands and feet to attack his wife during a heated argument.

The altercation on June 9 reportedly centered on the same issue that had fueled their tensions. After the fight, Nasibunnisa went to the bathroom the next morning and returned to bed. By 11:30am, she had not woken up, prompting relatives to check on her. Based on the complaint and initial findings, police have registered a murder case against Kalam Khan under section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
