Police Deploy Multiple Teams After 92-Year-Old Woman Found Dead in Rudha Village

Bharatmorningnews.com – On August 16, the body of 92-year-old Indravati was discovered inside her residence in Rudha village, which falls under Malipur police station jurisdiction. Her son, IPS officer Ashutosh Mishra, promptly filed a first information report accusing someone of murder and robbery.

Multi-Pronged Inquiry Underway

Officials confirmed that Ambedkar Nagar police have activated several dedicated teams to scrutinize every dimension of the case — from the conditions surrounding the discovery to the alleged vanishing of valuables and physical evidence gathered at the scene. Superintendent of Police Prachi Singh emphasized that no hypothesis has been excluded at this juncture and that the probe is proceeding in a manner she described as thorough, transparent, and fair.

Investigators are interviewing associates of the deceased and members of her household. According to Singh, all recorded statements are being captured on video to ensure an unbroken evidentiary trail.

The Jewellery Question

A central thread of the inquiry concerns ornaments reportedly absent from the home. Mishra's FIR itemized specific pieces of jewellery, yet Singh acknowledged that the bulk of those items had not been located as of the latest update.

She also addressed claims spreading across social media platforms suggesting the missing items had been found. Singh clarified that a Tulsi mala along with several small, nail-shaped objects fashioned from a yellow metal were discovered at the scene and subsequently returned to the family. She cautioned, however, that these items should not be interpreted as the recovery of the majority of jewellery enumerated in the FIR.

Forensic and Medical Evidence

The post-mortem examination did not yield a definitive cause of death, Singh noted. Internal organs have been preserved and forwarded for further forensic analysis. Police teams will cross-reference these laboratory findings with scene evidence and witness accounts before drawing any conclusions.

SP Dismisses Impartiality Concerns

Addressing speculation that an uninvolved individual might be dragged into the case, Singh was categorical:

"Why would the police implicate an innocent person? The investigation is being conducted with complete impartiality."

She added that the force is moving forward strictly on the strength of evidence, with no predetermined narrative guiding the inquiry.
