CM Yogi Adityanath Condemns Social Media Reels During Duty, Labels It Indiscipline
Focus on Responsibility
CM Yogi warns cops against making – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday highlighted the importance of discipline among police officers, criticizing the trend of creating social media reels while on duty. He stated that such actions undermine the dignity of the force and reflect a lack of commitment to their responsibilities.
“Maintaining self-discipline is crucial. When officers are on duty, they must stay alert and focused, not distracted by reels,” Adityanath remarked during a session in Lucknow.
Training and Transparency in Recruitment
Speaking at an event in Lucknow, where he handed over appointment letters to 930 newly recruited computer operators (Grade-A), Adityanath emphasized the need for professionalism. He reiterated that the police recruitment process under his leadership has been fair and free from bias.
“Today, we are awarding 930 computer operators. Over the past nine years, nearly 2.15 lakh personnel have been recruited through transparent stages, including exams for 35,000 constables and 41,000 home guard posts. More than 28 lakh young candidates applied for these roles,” he added.
Embracing Technology for Service
Adityanath encouraged the new recruits to act as “digital warriors,” leveraging technology to enhance the police system. He urged them to stay informed about security protocols and tools essential for their roles.
“Prepare to serve with technical expertise. Your work must align with the standards of our force, ensuring efficiency and pride in our service,” he directed.
Unity in Governance
The chief minister stressed that a robust law and order system relies on fair recruitment, rigorous training, and disciplined operations. He called for collective effort to uphold Uttar Pradesh’s reputation, stating that development depends on unity across all levels.
“A strong image for our state isn’t built by a single individual. It requires every officer to contribute meaningfully in their domain,” Adityanath asserted.
Key Attendees at the Ceremony
Among those present at the event were Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Sanjay Prasad, and Director General of Police Rajeev Krishna. The gathering underscored the government’s focus on modernizing policing through digital integration.
