Vice Admiral Rajat Kapoor, Controller of Logistics (COL) at Naval Headquarters, New Delhi, served as chief guest, accompanied by Mini Kapoor as guest of honour. A flag-hoisting ceremony at the Kakori Pillar was conducted under the joint auspices of the Jansatta Party of India (JPI) and the Rashtriya Yuva Adhikar Manch. Speaking on the occasion, JPI national president Shashank Shekhar Singh ‘Pushkar’ stated:

CMS observed Independence Day across its entire Lucknow network. The flagship ceremony took place at the CMS head office, where founder-director Bharti Gandhi hoisted the flag.
